The Medical Basics course is designed for students who may be completely unfamiliar with the basic medical care of a traumatic injury. This class covers the immediate care of an injured person with critical, life-saving skills needed to survive the first 10 to 30 minutes after a serious injury.
Important: This class discusses topics relating to serious injuries. The imagery and exercises can be unsettling for some people. We will use a simulated blood analog and simulated human tissue training aids during the wound packing exercise.

Required Equipment
Students are expected to bring the following equipment. Anything else will be provided by the instructor.
